WHAT HAPPENS ON CLUB NIGHTS?

1st Monday of each Month - Print Night

The first Monday of each month, we hold a "Print Night". We use both external and internal experienced judges.

There are 3 grades for judging:

We have a C Grade for new members and generally members with less than 1 - 2 years photography experience

Plus a B & A Grade.

All current financial members are able to submit 2 images, one for Open Subjects, one for Set Subjects. If you wish to check on the current year's Set Subjects, click here.

4th Monday of each Month

We hold workshops on the 4th Monday nights. This could vary from Portraits to Macro, flash, composition, digital editing, lighting and mounting images, just to name a few. Many  of these are hands on nights where you bring your camera along. Speakers are often sed from outside the club.

5th Monday of each Month

On the occasions that we have a 5th Monday, we may have a guest speaker or a trip out into the city. This could be to town to do some night photography of Viaduct Harbour, Howick Church, Skytower etc.

Outings

About 6 or so times a year, we attempt to hold an outing on the 3rd Sunday of the Month. This provides fun out in the field, and a great time to learn the art of photography.
